The Georgia legislative session just ended, and we’ve asked Kyle Jackson with the NFIB to peel back the government onion, and tell us how our businesses will be affected by what was done. The NFIB is one of the most active and well known business federations in the world, and Kyle is the director of their Georgia operations.

Rabbi Scott Sekulow is the brother of Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice.  While lessor known than his famous brother, Rabbi Scott is nonetheless an influential opinion maker on matters related to Israel.  Rabbi Sekulow hosts a popular radio program along with his wife called “The Messianic Hour”  and leads the Beth Adonai congregation in Tucker, GA.  Rabbi Sekulow is a Christian or “completed” Jew.

Rabbi Sekulow is widely traveled, and known world wide.  His thoughts and observations of business in Israel will be of  particular interest to Driven to Business listeners.  He’s also lived in Russia, and has great insights on the transformation taking place there as Russia migrates from a communist society to a capitalistic one.

Eddie and Rabbi Sekulow also discuss the underlying moral premises of a free market, and how the erosion of freedom at any level, affects freedom at every level.

Andy Karpel is one of my oldest friends, having served together  in the US Coast Guard.  Andy has enjoyed great business success since those days, both as a successful restauranteur, and managing RB Balch, a computer and services company in Phoenix. (Hit the link for more info)

In addition to being an outstanding businessman, Andy is a strong community supporter  and continues to volunteer for many events and activities.  As an active member of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Posse for over 16 years (think Sheriff Joe) , Andy helped to establish the Youth Education Posse (YEP) and assisted in the development of a Work Skills program for jailed and high risk youths; as a volunteer, he has taught hundreds of incarcerated teens within several county jails and continues in participate in various Sheriff’s activities. In addition,  he remains active with the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Businesses) and The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce.
