Driven to Business with Eddie Mayfield

This week, Eddie’s guest on Driven to  Business is Mr. Heinz Wegener.  Heinz  is President of Cross Technologies, Inc., and former Chairman and Executive Vice President of Wegener Corporation, a publicly traded company (WGNR on NASDAQ). 

Both companies manufacture satellite communications equipment. Heinz and his family emigrated from Germany in 1951, and he discovered that in the United States hard work and perseverance could bring success in school and business. In 1978, he founded Wegener Communications,  which began in his laundry room, and today is an international supplier of satellite communications equipment. But even founding a successful company did not bring fulfillment until he invited Jesus Christ into his life as his Lord and Savior.

Heinz is a fascinating person in addition to being an astute and successful businessman.  Cross Technologies works a four day week, has very few meetings, no performance reviews, and little in the way of job descriptions.  But, it still manages to be a huge success.   Listen as Heinz explains his business philosophies and how he puts all of that under his Christian faith.
